My name is David Hollowell, 57 years old, married for 38 years to my high school sweetheart, 3 healthy children, 6 grandchildren, servant of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and a minister of the GOSPEL. Welcome to this first installment of L.I.F.E.W.O.R.D. TODAY. I Just want to take a few minutes today, and hopefully encourage you for the start of this New Year. The holidays are over, many of us have gotten back into our work and everyday activites. I personally wanted to add a few activities to each day this year. I want to do a better job of telling people about Jesus Christ, what he has done for me, and what He wants to do with you. Why should you care?

To Tell the TRUTH: “You and I are personally involved in, AND included in, God’s PLAN for MAN (MANKIND).”

Gen 1:1-5

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

This year, I would like to invite you to Join me on a Journey thru the Word of God, from the L.I.F.E.W.O.R.D, THE BIBLE.

I like to use acronyms to help me remember the important words, but more specifically the WORD. That is why I titled this adventure the way I did.

Living In Fellowship Everyday by the Word Of Revelation Divine! We will break that down another time, but for now, our January Journey will take us through the first book of the Bible, Genesis. May I start off by saying that this will not be a verse by verse study, but rather a Survey and Highlights of the books of the Bible. I will attempt to cover the book of Genesis on during the Winter segment of L.I.F.E.W.O.R.D.TODAY. This message is a little longer, but in the future I will try to keep it under 30 minutes or so in our Sunday Sermons, which will be prerecorded. I will then try and post it for your viewing at your convenience, in the morning. I will invite you to join me in this Journey thru Genesis, The Book of Beginnings, and ask you to read ahead with me, so that you can take notes and hopefully get questions answered that you may have as you read. In your daily quiet time today, if you don’t already have a Bible Reading Plan, I would encourage you to start at the Beginning with Genesis 1 and read through chapter 10 this week. As I spend my daily quiet time in the Word, I will make a short post to give you a WORD, OR THOUGHT FROM THE WORD DAILY. I will also encourage you to start a daily Bible Study Journal to record your thoughts, questions, and prayers so that you can look back to it from time to time, and see what God has been doing in your life. It is of the greatest encouragement to me to keep such a journal, as it renews my faith from day to day and brings me closer to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So, lets “Begin at the Beginning”!

WHY TODAY, WHY NOW?

I would like to bullet point for you the WHY , as to this study.

“THE BIBLE, contains B.asic I.nstructions B. efore L.eaving E.arth, and it is GOD’S WRITTEN REVELATION OF HIS WILL, HIS WAYS, IN HIS WORD, WITH HIS WORDS, TO MANKIND. It contains God’s P.L.A.N. for Man, Jesus Christ, the P.rince of Peace, L.ord of Lords, A.lmighty God, and the N.ame above every name. EVERYTHING that we need to KNOW about HIM, HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM, AND PERFECT FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM, FOREVER.

II Peter 1:21, For the prophecy (the Bible) came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

What is Holiness?I Tim 3:16, And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

The Word of God can be explained by the Law of 3:16........

WHAT IS GODLINESS? 1 TIM 3:16 (ABOVE)- it is RIGHTEOUSNESS through Jesus Christ our Lord.

HOW DO WE KNOW? II TIMOTHY 3:16, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

WHY SHOULD WE CARE? John 1:1-14- In this passage, John begins with explaining what the Gospel of John is all about, and the main character in his account, Jesus Christ.

John 20:31-This passage gives us the MAIN PURPOSE and KEY point of his writing. 30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

In John 3:16, we have the main point of the entire Word of God, it is called the G.O.S.P.E.L

Why was this necessary?

Rom 5:12, Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
